Services
Granberg & Associates, INC., provides owner-advisor services aimed at optimizing, strategizing, assisting, and supporting your municipal water and wastewater projects. We achieve well-planned and executed projects by advising the owner through evaluations of resources, knowledge, and project risk.
Project Development: Defining Objectives & Priorities
Optimize your approach
-
The need to develop water and wastewater projects results from stricter regulatory requirements, system capacity needs, or replacement due to age or obsolescence. When developing a project, it is important to consider a balance of labor, power, and chemicals.
Typically, the development process will vary depending on a company’s preference and need. However, all processes include data extraction, collection, and analysis.
GA can help you find the balance necessary for a successful, well-developed project by assisting in data collection. Data collection is utilized to identify the most efficient and effective alternative project approaches. Our approaches incorporate capital, operational, and cost efficient decision-making for your ratepayer base.
Procurement Planning & Scheduling
Develop your ideal acquisition strategy
-
Determining the right design and delivery approach can be difficult and is often overwhelming. An optimal approach must consider various factors, including resource allocation, risk tolerance, and outcome objectives.
GA can assist municipal utility owners in the development of a functional, customized, and cost-effective acquisition strategy. Our strategy considers your unique characteristics and organization structure to determine the right procurement approach.
Document Development: Request for Qualifications & Proposals
Locate the most qualified, eligible candidates for your project
-
A Request for Qualification document (RFQ) is used to establish a list of qualified firms who will be invited to respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP). The purpose of an RFQ is to communicate project goals and priorities, and to approach the most qualified firms whose visions for project success align with the owner's.
The RFQ is typically followed by an RFP, in which the pre-qualified firms will submit a proposal to communicate their ability to meet the project requirements, as well as to demonstrate their creativity and innovation. Often, RFQs, RFPs, and the selection process itself are tedious and time consuming.
GA has extensive experience with the selection process and is qualified to develop your RFQ and RFP documents, particularly in the design-build procurement approach. We can also assist in the management of the screening and selection processes; leading up to contract negotiations and awards.
